Merley Court is a tasteful, immaculately-kept, 5-Star Best of British site about a mile from Wimborne town and just a short drive from Poole Harbour and the New Forest. Set in 10 acres of parkland and 5 acres of woodland, it has clean and tidy shower/toilet facilities, a bathroom suite, laundry rooms, dishwashing areas and a well-ordered clubhouse/bar with adults-only room, family room and games room.

There’s a play area, well-stocked shop, heated outdoor swimming pool, excellent facilities for the disabled, a woodland walk and a cycle path (once a railway line) all the way from the site to Poole Quay fourteen miles away. Also, the pitch price at Merley includes free use of leisure and entertainment facilities at nearby Oakdene Forest Park.

Talking of pitches, there’s a choice of grass pitches with or without electric, hardstandings with electric and ‘Executive Pitches’ with electric, water/drainage and selected satellite channels. The pitches are a generous size and some have hedges between. Pitch prices include the caravan, awning and up to 6 occupants. Dogs are allowed on-site (up to 2 per caravan) at extra cost and there’s even a dog-grooming parlour adjoining the site.

Merley Court is ideally-placed for visiting the New Forest, Poole, Brownsea Island, Corfe Castle, Bournemouth, Swanage, Weymouth and Portsmouth. Paultons Park, Beaulieu Motor Museum and Nelson’s flagship The Victory are all within easy driving distance.
